This was superb. When it was first opened it had high acid, grainy tannins, and a tart fruit profile that reminded me of Sangiovese. After a brief nap in the decanter, it emerged with well-integrated oak and ripe red fruit with a snack of violets in the middle. The Cab Franc didn’t come through as expected; even the most pyrazine-sensitive tasters couldn’t pick up on any. To me, tasted like a structured, ripe old world Pinot with a judicious oak treatment. Others blinded it as Burgundy or Loire Cab Franc. Really impressive wine.

Mid-week picnic with herb crusted roast lamb sandwiches, homemade chips and a salad with figs, blue cheese and walnuts. This was the change-of-pace wine from 3 Pinots. Probably the favorite of the 30-somethings at the table.
Quite dark in the glass, yet light on its feet. Loads of ripe red fruit - strawberry and raspberry dominate - with a bit of red pepper lurking in the background. Such a fun blend.

Super unique 50/50 cab franc and Pinot blend. Mo's done it again. Recommend decanted and paired perfectly with a juicy steak.
