  • Not off-dry as indicated in the cellartracker description but a sweet dessert wine with 7% alc.

Tasted at the winery where it was one of the stars among countless excellent wines.

Bought some bottles home, this is the first one.

The scent is dominated by natural yeast and petrol. In the mouth this is excellent: on one side, aged but not over-aged riesling with great viscosity, date palm and dried fig, but also a fruity core of apricots and sufficient acidity.

All very natural, clean and well-proportioned. Furthermore, as typical for high quality Mosel wines, this one manages to be rich and intensive while remaining fresh and well drinkable. So this is not one of those dessert wines one can drink only a small glass of, but two or three people should be able to finish off the 0,75l bottle with ease in an evening.

    Intensive, long aftertaste.

Very good stuff and good QPR at 16 EUR.
