  Pop and follow through dinner and this could definitely use a bit of air. Initially smokey with dark currant and plum notes. With air though the red fruit shows up beautifully. None of the 2003 heaviness, balanced and lovely acidity, earth, and hint of spice. Delicious bottle and clearly in the family style.

  Very fresh with all the tell-tale Reynaud notes. Sweet, creamy, mature Grenache speaks, no prunes, no figs, no 2003, pure joy here.

  I’ve mistaken Rhone for Burgundy, especially when it’s from Chateau de Fonsalette, the second label of Chateau Rayas. The 2003 Domaine de Fonsalette is fragrant, light-footed and delicate with a savoury herbal and earthy note, which I mistaken it as characteristics of aged Gevrey Chambertin/ Morey Saint Denis. Rich and rustic. Medium bodied with fine-grained tannins. Dujac? Gevrey chambertin 1er cru? 1998/ 1999? (89/100)

  100% en accord avec mes amis, bouteille extraordinaire, même que je suis prêt à dire qu'elle était meilleur que le Rayas du même millésime, plus de fraîcheur, moins lourd et plus expressif. Important de noté que sur 12h le vin n'a jamais arrêté d'évoluer autant en arômes qu'au niveau de la couleur. Quelle chance d'avoir bu ce vin.

  Épaulé pendant presque 12h, ce vin de Reynaud est en très grande forme. Couleur plutôt claire avec le pourtour orangé. Le nez est très communicateur avec de l’orange sanguine, cuir et épices. Vraiment on sent quelque chose de spécial avec ce vin et la première gorgé est une expérience en soi avec une puissance aromatique impresionnante et une longueur phénoménal sur le caoutchouc. C’est soyeux et complex. Le vin évolue tranquillement dans le verre et sort plus sur le fruits rouge, prune, petite épice vers la fin de la bouteille. Nous sommes près du Rayas 03 bu l’an dernier en matière de plaisir. Que du plaisir avec cette bouteille!
