Easter lunch with lamb loin and Murray Gray beef tenderloin. Double decant and poured back in bottle for 6 hours. Pretty good amount of sediment. This is still a baby. Ripe but tempered blueberry, blackberry on the nose. Oh, the nose...!
Palate is well balanced. Typical Beckstoffer, fruit forward but not overly showy Napa cab. Very well made. Solid spine of well integrated and very fine tannins. Nice acidity keeps it interesting. No where near its peak. I won't check in on the others for another 5-7 years.
While our palates have migrated a bit away from the big, showy Napa cabs, there is defintely a time and a place for these and this is delicious with the right food pairing.

Wife found it a bit flabby, I felt the nose was like perfume (after an hour in the decanter) and it was like silk on the palate. I agree a bit more acid would have helped this a lot.

Gave this a 96 back in June 2019 and that still applies. Opened this the day before the Realm Spring offering was released (Feb 8) and actually got an allocation of this from their library. Crazy coincidence. Didn't take mine because I've had two already so there's some left for wish requests from Realm! Or if you got an allocation I suggest taking it. This is drinking beautifully with two hours of air. Vibrant on PnP but richer and more viscous at two hours. Preferred at two hours. Silky viscosity with darkest of fruit, creamy vanilla, mint, licorice, loved this again

Decanted 5 hours. Elegant mix of plum, forest, vegetables. Very smooth, not at all overpowering. Goes with steak/chicken/lamb.
