Complex blue fruit with a long finish and integrated tannins. Not sure it was needed, but very nice after a 90 minute decant and still strong 4 hours later.

Decanted for 1.5 hours. Nose of violet, blackberry, currant, mocha, licorice, vanilla and spice. Black fruit, mocha, spice, anise, crushed rock and fine tannins on the palate. Very long finish with excellent balance. Full bodied. Served reverse seared Greek filet mignon

Beautifully aromatic. Field of violets. Terrific bright acidity with soft rounded tannins. There’s a refreshing juiciness to this wine. Dark black fruit with some tartness on the blackberry finish which is very long. Lovely.

Really liked this. Had with Valentine’s Day filet dinner at home. Surprisingly a bit mellow (not fruit bomb) with some added complexity. Dark fruited in the currant vein. Notes of mocha, gravelly, slight bit of mint. Tannins relatively mellow and seems in the drink me zone. Let’s call this a grown up Carter.
