Bottle 3 of 4 Robert Foley Sip 'n Snack Day. Full-bloomed purple on the eye. Luvly blend of medium oak, black cherries and raspberries with a subtle touch of almond vanilla. 5+ hours breathing in fat-assed decanter. Again, why the alcohol? Bold, rich, powerful, spicy. Hits on all cylinders. Think FloJo's grace with Serena’s muscularity On my knee asking for, well, whatever I can get. Wow!!! Early onset of unrequited love. Strong, fairly heavy ripe tannins finish. Oh my!!! Simply AWESOME.

Decanted for 75 minutes. Continued to open for another 15 or so. Fairly big wine. Lots of dark fruit, moderate tannins. Should continue to improve for at least a few more years.

Wonderful wine right now. A combo of Howell Mountain, Mount Veeder, and Atlas Peak vineyards. Fruit is dark and concentrated with black cherry, blackberry, and cassis. Beautiful mid-palate of black licorice, mocha, dark chocolate, and toasty oak with a richness that just elevates the wine. Still some grippy tannins but well balanced and a great long finish.

Decanted for an hour. Improved after another half hour. Moderate tannins. Cocoa notes. Big fruit. Tremendous finish. Really excellent. Could see it continuing to improve over next 3-5 years.
