  • Nice godello, and excellent QPR. The main attraction is the rich, mouth-filling texture, married to a firm spine of mouthwatering acid. Flavors are somewhat generic but refreshing - citrus, white flowers, some mineral. Did not go particularly well with goat brie and crackers - it really cries out for some raw oysters or a crab cake. 88 on its own, probably higher with the right food combo.

  • Rich inviting nose, tropical fruits. Palate is fruit driven, again rich tropical fruits, but kept together by a certain acidity and light minerality. Generous, fruit driven wine, but fresh and interesting at the same time. My first and only bottle of this vintage, but to me certainly feels it is in a good place right now and can go on for some time.

  • No formal notes here, but I can agree to what karl.1480 writes. This was my first experience with Palacios Godello, and I will defininately go for more. To me it is a good qpr.

  • Youthful nose with medium intensity. Fresh and vibrant fruit in the yellow spectrum - yellow apple, peach, unripe apricot and melon. Fresh Mediterranean herbs, crushed rock and orange blossom.

On the palate medium(+) acidity and medium(-) body. Slight waxy mouthfeel with medium intensity of flavors. Again lots of yellow fruit, flowers and herbs coming through. There's a pleasant little bitterness to the finish.

A great introduction to Godello wines. Lovely combination to grilled fish. Drinks well now but will gain some weight and complexity with short term aging.
