  • One the nose: Oak, cherries, plums, vanilla, dark berries

On the palate: Plums, blackcurrant, cherries.

Nicely rounded. Slightly sweet. Perhaps a bit short and tannic finish.

    Would drink again.

  • Good fruit, low tannins, slight bite most likely due to the 14.5% alcohol. Let it breath for sure. It's good immediately out of the bottle but gets much better over the course of an hour. I have a second bottle that I will be aging for an additional year to see how much better it gets!

  • Tasted blind. Slightly cloudy, medium (+) to deep ruby, with blueish purple hues. The nose is clean, somewhat closed, medium in intensity, youthful, with ripe red fruit, black fruit, earth, licorice, coffee aromas indicative of French Oak barriques. The plates is dry, with medium (+) acidity, medium (+) tannins and high alcohol (14.5%). The palate is consistent with the nose, but also showing some black pepper and earth. This wine is well-balanced, with medium (+) body, flavor intensity, complexity and length. It appears youthful and would definitely benefit from some additional aging. It certainly tastes like an Old World, moderate climate red blend, but beyond that it's hard to place. 60% Garnacha, 25% Cariñena, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Syrah. I guessed it was a Cabernet blend from SW France or Tuscany, which I guess is not so far off. This appears to be a great value for old vine Priorat, which is a region definitely worth exploring further.

  • Dark plum on the nose.
I found it had intense dark fruit and astringency with some great length due to some well placed levels of acidity. I had this in 2017 so I would like to get another 2014 and wait to see what this would be like with some more age.
