Solid Loire Cab Franc. It doesn't particularly show the relative warmth of the vintage, but there's also no hint of green, just ripe fruit, but still lean, a bit stony and floral, modest fine tannings, I enjoyed sipping, but this is a wine meant for the dinner table.

Dark garnet color. Nose with immediate buttery note that lessens somewhat with time, strong hints of dark fruits poke through. Palate with prominent bell pepper notes but in a rounded way, quite pleasant and not overly green/unripe. Strong flavors of dark fruits on palate as well with mild-moderate acid, dusky texture, hint of herbal/tobacco. Not the most complex Loire cab franc but satisfyingly rustic, goes well with food. 89 pts

Purple florals, ripe cherries and a marmite-yeasty edge to the nose. Lots of acid on the palate but backed up with rich fruit and lots of that purple-floral/licorice edge that I am coming to associate with Saumur cab franc. This isn't my preferred style of Loire cab franc (my go tos are Breton and Domaine de la Butte) but it's a very serviceable mid week wine. 12.5% abv.

Quite grapey, and very fresh. Tastes more like cheap, young red wine than anything else. Blind, I'd be much more likely to guess Gamay than Cabernet Franc. Seems like a Drink Now kind of wine, even though the label does indicate that this could age for 6 years. Not really my style --- I prefer a more traditional/rustic Cab Franc.

Light body. Good mineral/flint. Red fruit. Hint of floral. Clear and tasty. But not memorable. A good Cab Franc. Nice summer wine.
