St Cosme Vertical (@Lasse): Dark and intense black plum fruit combined with black pepper and roasted meat. It has a slight touch of VA but not in a defective way. It is very "open" and has a nice floral touch yielding both violets and lavender. Very solid and wine.

30 minute decant. Medium plum-garnet in colour. Nose of herby red berry fruits with a touch of black pepper and tad of menthol. On the palate, there are noticed some black cherries, spiced plums with a few other peppery berries and touches of black licorice and tobacco; tannins are mostly integrated. Medium+ bodied with a medium+ finish. Last tasted April 2018.

Finished the last half of a bottle I first coravined a year ago. Still fresh as the first glass. Firm tannins, nice red fruit and savory herbs. The 14.5% ABV felt well integrated, really only showing itself when there was some spice in my food. Two more bottles of this in my cellar, and I am in no rush to get to them, this feels like it has many years to go. Will probably check back in 2-3 years.

A great balance of fruit (stewed prunes), with receding tannins while still maintaining balance and structure. Decanted 2 hours before drinking.
