Then we move on to the big boys. Already generous on first pour. Plush ripe rosy fruits and that occasional whiffs of barnyard. This really builds on the weight and stature at the back, finishes long and strong. Not the best Burlotto but already good enough for me.

Old Guys lunch on Ciao Bella's lovely patio (CV, DM, TS, JV, DD, LS, KB). 80 degrees Friday & 45 degrees Saturday :). We got super lucky Friday by MN standards. My btl and quite disappointing in its awkward current state. This was fricken beautiful 4yrs ago on release!?!? I decanted it 3hrs before leaving for Ciao Bella and removed the cork 45 mins again before drinking. From my Burg glass. Once again finding the right drinking window and ideal air for Barolo is as elusive as catching an old Brown Trout on dry fly. For me anyhow:). If I scored it now it would be 85-87pts. Rough ride on the structure & fairly closed.
Old Guys Lunch: Hittin' the Patio (Ciao Bella, Mpls): Dark red color, 5mm margin. Drank a glass over an hour plus. Gravel, mineral, ripe berries, firm, ground spices, cherry, lots of grip still. Very youthful still. 91+ to 92(+)pts.

Decanted 2 hours before the first glass, this was not enough... Tasty wine, but youthful to the point of toughness. Hold. Hold. Hold.
