Sumptuous nose of smoky blackberry & hints of black cherry with a note of sweet baking spices and fresh earth. The nose is enjoyable in its own right.
Palate is rich and full bodies with rounding acidity that carries tobacco and tart cherry on the edges. Front of blackberry and dried leaves up front. Silky and slightly chewy tannins on the middle. Raspberry and leather on the middle and hints of truffle and plum skins on a pleasant finish.

St. Emilion Grand Cru Classés Walkaround tasting, so just short notes (Amsterdam): 80% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is raised for 16 months in for 60% new oak. Beautiful and creamy bouquet with red berries and some herbs and spices. Good acidity and soft tannin. The wine is in its young maturity stage.

Deep purple color. Restrained nose intially that resembled an old house, though this blew off after time in the glass bringing on some violet notes. Medium-plus body and very harsh on the palate with strong grainy tannins and medium-low acidity, resulting in an unpleasantly heavy mouthfeel. Some darker fruit, almost pruney on the front intermixed with graphite notes that turned thin and very bitter mid-palate and ended with a bit of heat. Unpleasant and was even worse on day 2. Reminiscent of a $10 grocery story AOC Bordeaux. My wife said the only thing she enjoyed about this was that it contained alcohol.
