  • First bottle of a case purchase. Decanted an hour and served in Grassl Cru stems. Very expressive bright cherry nose, with some spicy classic pinot elements. Snappy and well balanced in the mouth, a bit of crunch, no sign of the usual Lyle green notes. At first this seemed to be shutting down about 30 min into drinking, with a dry note on the finish, but that turned around and the wine leveled off nicely into a very pleasant mid-weight food friendly place. Took on some extra depth near the end. Another couple of years should bring this into focus and fill in some of the youthful gaps, but no shame in drinking now as well. Nice surprise to the upside.

  • The acids are now integrating with the bright red cherry flavors. I now wish I had more. Purchased from Fass Selections
