Day 2 a real step up. Day 1 was very enjoyable, lots of black fruit, some pencil shavings, some blueberry. Day 2 the graphite/shavings faded and blueberries became more pronounced. Black in the glass, plum on the nose, full mouthfeel.

Curious wine that really requires the right food pairing. Opened an hour before drinking. Black fruit and earth tones in the the glass, first taste were surprisingly full bodied, integrated fruit, and appropriate floral tones. But drinking w dinner (grilled steak and grilled vegetables) the finish disappeared. Still bright fruit at first but the sweetness of the steak rub caused the finish to evaporate.

Opened and decanted for an hour. A decent cab for the price point. I've seen recommendations for cellaring, but with limited space holding a 20 dollar bottle of Cab for 10 years didn't seem like a real possibility. I've got 4 more so let's see how it grows... one a year eh?
Wow, this was terrible. It was so astringent, almost bitter! Absolutely terrible mouth feel. Based on the other reviews, I'm not sure if this was a bad bottle, or just that bad of an effort from DCV. And I'm someone who normally believes DCV normally produces a nice, easy drinking, at a decent value, wine.

(Dry Creek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon) Saturated, very dark black-tinged red violet color; lifted, black currant, berry, cedar, earthy nose; plush, velvety textured, tart plum, black currant, cedar palate with good balancing acidity; could use 1-plus year; medium-plus finish (100% Cabernet Sauvignon; 14.5% alcohol; 19 months in French oak) 91+ points

Much better the second night. My advice, open it and let it sit for a while. Seal and drink the second night.
