I wouldn't go as far as the last note. There's still ample acidity. But a bit disappointing, and I like aged whites. Maybe just a narrow window of excellence, or it needed a long decant and we finished the bottle before it had a chance. Should have saved a glass to see what 24 hours would do, if only for the benefit of others still holding.

This is definitely well past its drink date. Oxidized and unpleasant. Complete waste of 100$. Worst wine of the evening and I was embarrassed to have brought this to the party.

A private dinner (Scharzhof, Wiltingen, Germany): Bottled June 2016. Flint and citrus, could easily be mistaken for an elegant Chardonnay, noticeable bitters, impressive but in a way untypical.

200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Dessert wine. Nose of bruised apples, dry, acidic, good ripeness, feels like a dry Chenin, Riesling from Austria it was.

Still young and lithe. Minerals and Green apple fading slowly to apple core on the palate. Very unique!
