This seems to have really settled into a great place in the almost 2 years since my last bottle. Beautiful light to medium golden yellow color. Nose is slightly chalky with a dominant melange of orchard fruit. Nice acidity but not tart. Rounded and flavorful with an apple, pear and crushed limestone profile. Chewy texture and long finish. Needs a little air (30-45 minutes) for the fullness to come through. Should be good easily through its 10th birthday, perhaps longer.

I do so love this wine. It has such a long trajectory, but yet is so hard to lay down since it is so good at every age. And this would be my last bottle of this vintage. Poured blind for Phoebe and Deneen, PMB thought it was a Chardonnay, but DDB nailed it, guess it was a Chenin Blanc from Loire. Golden yellow color that then delivers a bright and engaging nose of lymon, fig, chalk and sprite melon. The fruit on the attack segues into chalk and mineral on the finish. From attack to finish, the mouthfeel is full. This is a wine that I never tire of; so balanced and so complete. 13.5% alc. With pork chop porcetta. Highly Recommended.

Same impression as with the last one 2 months ago: mainly apple, some citrus, white pepper and saltiness, middle density and length. Very pleasant as aperitif. This one was my last one of 2015, drink it up.
