Bought four from a local retailer for 20/b 12-13 years ago (haven't checked the paperwork yet). Decanted with normal sediment. A little funky nose at first, but that blew off. Very good color, no amber edge; mature blackcurrant nose and body with very good mouthfeel; good finish. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. I considered this notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.

(Astrale E Terra Arcturus) #3; COLOR-dark; NOSE-very nice nose; a fruit bomb (raspberries, blackberries; plum, strawberries, cherries), but not over-oaked; TASTE-some greenness on the mid-palate (mint covered green peppers); this is Mint City, USA; menthol; Keebler Grasshopper; reminds me of Heitz Cabs; intense fruit, lots of blackberries, with a nice Junior mint action on the mid-palate; should last 8-15 years; a really good wine; WE-93; GV-90

Dark ruby with an earthy, mulchy feel. Fruit has mellowed but still plenty of body with hints of cherry.

not in the best phase right now. Tannins are the predominant taste with some fruit hiding behind it.

Fresh, fun, enlivened with a touch of mint midway. Miles to go before it fades.
