Rather complex but after a couple of minutes in the glass the new oak appears and doesn't go away, completely overpowering the fruit and the other elements, so not balanced.

Bottle shock V Nature vs conventionnal wines (Ales France): Blind tasting, rich nose of a sweat jam of pear with vanilla sticks. Mouth bit like apple flambees. Expressive, rich but alcohol to present. Nice work for a southern wine, but not enough refined for this exceptional night. Average group 12, me 90.

Nose ripe, honeyed, and toasty oak. Mouth full, rich, very good balance for a southern white : acidity, bitterness, nice ripe fruit core (apricot, peche de vigne), with a seductive oak. The wine is enough alive and long. Surprising and excellent. Blend of grenache blanc (for the fresh), roussane (honey), marsanne, and viognier (richness). WA94

Green and melon, lemon, vanilla and an overdos of wood. Apparently roussanne, marsanne, viognier and grenache blanc. Bummer

Pale. Dull nose. Spiky alcohol, fat, heavy oak, creamy. No varietal expression. Heavy and dull.
