Less fruit than in 10/2018; no need to decant. Previously paired with blueberry pie from Nicely's, this time with aged gouda and rosemary crackers (92).

Popped and poured. Blueberry, black cherry, cocoa, spice and river rock. Very long finish with dusty tannins. Medium to full bodied. Served with macaroni, cheese and broccoli.

Only corked bottle of Carlisle I can recall, but it was horribly corked. Been aging it for years.

Surprised at how much I liked this wine. Lush smooth fruit, not sure I could tell this was a mourvedre.

Really liked this wine, only 90 cases from very old vines, dark fruit, blackberry, blueberry, graphite, spice, integrated tannins, very long finish.
