Very pleasant with cherry, earth, spice and oak. Light on its feet with light tannins/acid adding structure. Young but drinkable, I look forward to retrying it with a few more years of age.

Really nice Pinot for a reasonable price (considering what good Pinot goes for these days). Oak adds a bit of spice, but also is a little present in making this richer. I'd go for a slightly more elegant hand on that, but I think this is a very popular style. Silky smooth, sweet aromas that are earthy, spicy, and floral at once. I think the owners, who make terrific Syrah and were looking to buy Pinot land at the beginning of this journey, are still working out the style and meeting the character of the vineyard's fruit. If they improve as they have with the Syrah--also got off to a very good start and now a star--and if they can keep getting the fruit they want, this could again be one to watch.

Transparent ruby red color. Very sweet fruity pinot aromas: sweet cherries, strawberries, raspberries, some spicy warm pine forest in hot Mediterranean summer. Sweet caramel and cola, in short a lot of everything. In the mouth - some alcohol and a lot of acidity which feels slightly chemical but not to the point of dissonance. It is a well made wine and quite easy to drink but a little cool aid like on the palate. Dry finish after all that sweet pinosity. Seductive. Plaisir but not jouissance to speak with Barthes.

Well-fruited, well-balanced with a sweet cherry and candied apple nose that was subtle and engaging. Cedar perfume was even more subtle and tannins had a light, dusty presence on the finish. Crafted well and very good overall.

US BYOB #4: pale color. Synthetic nose with tart berries, lingonberry, cranberry, raspberry candy and sour red berries.
Light body, distinctive acidity, stems, nature wine feeling.
2 BV, 3 WV.
