  • My last bottle ! Great, reliable, relatively complex for this price point and for a a medium+ body California Chardonnay. See last month's notes for details.

  • Popped and poured, the wine was open and aromatic immediately. At age seven the wine is slightly bigger than when younger, but is losing structure and tension, so drink up by 2023. The aromatic profile is excellent, with white fruits, a hint of citrus, and a very nice mineral finish, just enough oak to give it a nice Burgundy character and lovely iodine bite, and excellent balance. Remarkably, it was still delicious on night three. Outstanding QPR.

  • Popped and poured, the wine’s big aromas and flavors show up immediately. Another great bottle, the wine is in a great spot right now, and I would suggest drinking to 2023 because it is gently losing some of its structure. The wine has grown bigger and better with each passing year, and I’m glad I’ve had only about one a year, because it’s been fun to watch it evolve. It still shows good acidity, vigor and tension. The aromatic profile is excellent, with white fruits, a hint of citrus, and a very nice mineral finish. It has just enough oak to give it a nice Burgundy character and lovely iodine bite, in balance. Still delicious on night three. Excellent QPR.

  • A decent unoaky bottle with good QPR. A bit of peach, a bit of vanilla. Nothing fancy but pleasant.

  • Another great bottle, this wine is in a perfect place right now. It shows lots of youth, vigor and tension, with white fruits, a hint of citrus, good acid underpinnings, structure, and a very nice mineral finish. It has just enough oak to give it a nice Burgundy character and bite, but everything here is in balance. Excellent QPR.
