I really enjoyed this but I can see it being polarising. It’s a big, bold pinot - bold flavours, bold tannins, intense. Meat, blood, dark fruits, spice. I’d almost guess syrah, but it’s still identifiable as Pinot. Real structure to those tannins. Feels like the product of a hot vintage. It’s a quality wine although not for some.

Pinotpalooza (Carriageworks, Redfern): Dense, savoury, more black fruit, quite stalky as well. Structured dark fruit, a big boy with plentiful drying tannins. Not for me.
