Pale straw yellow. Nose is fairly mute, but has some yellow flowers, chamomile, a light touch of oak, some crimini mushroom, a touch of iodine. Palate has some Asian pear, lemon/lime, a touch of honey, some clay/limestone minerality, and just a hint of oak. Mouthwatering acid with a very slight touch of VA, balanced by a slightly waxy texture. Lingering umami/iodine on the finish. A fairly mute showing of a wine I’ve had great success with in the past.

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light lemon colour with wide watery rim and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of green fruit of green apple, citrus fruit of lemon, stone fruit of peach, floral notes of blossom, mineral notes of stony, herbaceous notes of straw, maturity notes of hay. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium alcohol and medium (-) body, with medium (+) intensity flavors of green fruit of green apple, citrus fruit of lemon, mineral notes of stony, herbaceous notes of straw, floral notes of blossom. The wine has a long length on the finish. Conclusion: Very good quality Bourgogne Aligote with a reasonably intense nose showing decent complexity of green and citrus fruit, with some grassy notes and minerality, the wine has good acidity, refreshing and crisp, showing good concentration on the palate and a very long finish. It is ready to drink now and not meant for further ageing.

Aligoté de Boisson 2014, toujours aussi élégant, élevage ressenti mais poli, bouche soignée, matière et tension pour une finale salivante.
