Fine, but seemed a little aged. At first, people thought it was corked. But, it was just a little earthy, which was odd given the light color, red fruit profile. Everything mellowed out after an hour, but ultimately not that interesting a wine.

Not bad, but lacking in fruit, body and complexity. Light berry, and red fruit, light body and short finish. Unusual for a Sandler, as their quality is fantastic. 86-87.

Day 1. Popped and aerated 1/2 glass. As noted in other reviews - this pours like a pinot initially. Very light color, lots of strawberry on the nose and palate. Then 1 glass a couple hrs later. This has transformed. Totally different. Much more open, it's bigger too, still red berry but more some cherry and spice, even some green notes - it's hard to describe.
Day 2. A still some red fruit, cherry, lots of spice, still some green notes - hard to pin down. It's way different to any Grenache I've had.
I really enjoyed but this is very hard to score. The transformation from the initial 1/2 glass was strange.

Enjoyable, but would never have pegged it as grenache!

Light color and body. Red fruited with a prevalent stem flavor. It did pick up some weight and mellow out a bit with air.
