The ‘15 vintage of Zind-Humbrecht’s Brand Riesling was somewhat of a hype. Was it real?
Golden and brilliant. Rich aromas of honey, peach, apricot, citrus, saffron and warm spice. Could it be too big?
Juicy and rich yellow stone fruit, with hit of spice and honey notes in the early palate. Citrus notes and fresh riesling acidity is a mere necessity here, and tightens the wine nicely up together with modest bitter citrus peel notes. Meduum plus body, and lovely complexity. Long finish.
Worth the hype? Dunno, but great wine still. Glad to have a few more.

Aromas of sweet yellow fruits like apricot marmelade, apples and lime, in addition to some smoke and minerals. Soft and full bodied in the mouth with sweet fruit, but quite elegant for a Z-H. I guess this is due to both the Brand vineyard and the vintage. Will benefit from 10 years+ in the cellar to become dryer and more structured.

This French Riesling is beginning to mature well. Almost fortified nose. Apricot and something tropical. The palate is still relatively fresh. Tropical fruit, diesel and well-ripe fruit. High acidity makes it stand up well to pork ribs.
