Classic Copain style. Refined nose balances oaky butter and sweet vanilla with bright stone fruit citrus zest and crushed Rick minerality. Full bodied with bright acid that elevates the palate and gives a slightly gritty texture that I love. Flavors include semi-sweet lemonaid, vanilla curd, white peach, dried apricot, orchid, and white pepper. Delicious, though I’m glad to have a second bottle as I think this will doing something especially interesting in three or four years.

Pop and pour. Wow, this bottle was really singing, much more so than the previous a few months ago. This drank like a white burgundy with well-integrated toasty French oak, spice, good minerality, butterscotch, some citrus and apple.

A year since my last bottle. Wonderful value from Copain that is showing no signs of slowing down. A tiny bit of reduction that is very pleasing, harmonizinf with the unripe apricot, green Apple, a hit of slate, and a pinch of curry leaf. Clean and persistent finish.

I didn't get a chance to assess this well, but it seemed solid. There is initially a bit of toasty oak that is easy to get used to. The balance seems good and it is round.

My 3rd bottle of this, and the first good one. The tight balance of minerally tension, freshness and fruit I was expecting from Copain. Green apple, citrus zest, and barely ripe apricot. Nice mid-weight texture and mouthfeel. Drank over 2 nights, with it being slightly better on night 1.
