So 4 years later I have opened another. Creamy textured mouthfeel of a wine with velvety textures. Aromatically ... mild with crushed blueberry being the predominant note. In mouth I get that same waxy mouthfeel fro 4 years ago. Tonight this is totally resolved acidity and tannins (virtually none). Worth opening now.

Slow ox 3 hours : 2 glasses over 3 hours- red fruit, medium tannins, menthol, dried flowers. Next day 1 glass that was much better - more secondary flavors of cedar, anise, plum. 3rd day - last glass was the best. 93-94-95

2 hr decant, ruby red - balance notes of Tobacco, melted licorice, charred oak, spices, mint, dried flowers and cardamom. Medium plus bodied and acidity, smooth, red cherries on mouth-puckering finish.

Decanted for 90 minutes, back in bottle and brought to Rare Society in SD. This needed another 45 minutes or so to begin to show its goods.
Red fruit dominant, medium bodied, nicely integrated tannins.
The best sips were the final sips which suggest this is painfully young at the moment. This wine doesn't exhibit the full throttle fruit that is characteristic of the vintage, which is a good thing imo. Always nice to have a bit of variation within the vintages.
Good alone but paired nicely with Australian wagyu tri tip. This is a steak wine folks.
HOLD remaining bottles for at least 3+ years.
93 for now with upside for sure.

Expressive nose with tobacco and red currants. Palate is nice and dense but lacking a bit of complexity.
