  • 2nd bottle down..has been a while and this is holding very well. Perfect for summer, served chilled on hot day. Fruit and salinity, refreshing, absolutely delicious and has good complexity. Was best on PnP and into the 2nd day.

  • 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (T&L's): Double blind. At first this is a touch smoky/flinty, and only after some time in the glass does a petrol note appear. Stone fruit-unripe peach- along with pear. Peach notes follow on the palate; on the dry side of the spectrum. Guessed Clare Valley riesling.

  • What a find, what a beaut! Served chilled and drank with Mom on 90 degree day at beach on deck whilst smoking/cooking short ribs. We both were very surprised, simultaneous eyes lighting up and smiling due to the amazing taste from start to finish. Entire bottle gone in few hours. Cali just impressed me with this German grape. Buying a few more and some every year.

These descriptions are why I went for this:
Winemaker - “Lightly golden wine that shows vibrant aromas of rose petal, lychee, ripe juicy peach, orange confiture, wild flowers and lavender honey. This wine has a full palate, silky texture and beautiful acidity that enhances the long taste of ripe stone fruit, honey and flowers.”
WE - “Aged in a combination of concrete egg, stainless steel and new French oak, this winning white is a study in peach and apricot—it's incredibly inviting in both taste and aroma. A layer of honey adds succulence without sweetness, as it remains dry and balanced through the mineral-laden finish.”

    Highly recommended, $25-35 range.

  • Pale Golden Yellow. Nose Tropical Fruits, Lychee, HoneyDew Melon, Flowers. Palate peach, salty crushed rocks. Legs are slow and long, nice silky texture. Wine is nice and crisp, good balance of acid.

You will not confuse this wine with French/German dry Riesling, to me the gobs of tropical fruit and saline quality of the wine are major differences. It is a different beast, but enjoyable and worth trying.
