Like a fine wine, this improves with time. Opened tonight. Let breathe about an hour before consuming with a rich red pasta dish. Nose of dark red fruits. Lingering finish of very ripe cherries. Smooth and easy to drink.

PnP, but would benefit from some air. The nose was quite raisinated, as might be expected. The medium to plus bodied palate yielded plenty of dark cherry fruit, some raisins, some spice, and nicely balancing acidity. The tannins were integrated and the 14.5% abv under control. Not sure it will develop any further, but should hold for a couple of years. At $20 retail (on sale) it's a few bucks more than many other Ripassos, but a step above in quality. Wish there weren't 3 different CT listings for the same wine...

balance was a little too the velvet mouth fill and not enough zip. nice tannins and i thought it was a bit thin with nice cherry notes. probably not buy again at $22 but still happy i tried it.

Bold, smooth and slight tanin structure at the arc of the taste.

Beautiful tannins, dried cranberry, bitter chocolate, fig. One of my favorite styles
