Bought 4b for 8/b from Costco about 4 years ago; this is #2. Not decanted but should have after finding notable sediment. Purple; restrained nose of mature plum, some spice; restrained red fruit, some garrigue, good mouthfeel. More forthcoming after 24h (vacuvin) with more spice and fruit. Tried again after 72h: faded but still enjoyable. Glad to have more for near term. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. Quality, age, price: Notable+.

This is very good and a total steal for the money. Fairly concentrated with dark fruit with nice balancing acidity. Has a crushed black pepper note that I like. Almost out of the 2016s. If I get a chance to buy the 2017s, I will buy at least a half case.

A step up from the usual party wine, and always a crowd pleaser. Bacon fat and leather in the bouquet and lots of raspberries on the palate. Very fruit forward. Spicy, but slightly hot, finish. Delivers more than its $7 tariff. (= Worth Seeking Out As a Bargain Wine)

Dark red to purple, wide rim. Complimented dinner nicely without drawing attention to itself. Warm dark fruit on the nose. Balanced acidity and tannin. A little oaky spice if you really dig for it.

Ms. Hatsby thought this was a perfectly delightful wine, especially for the price.
Mr. Hatsby felt it was a bit on the "watered down" side.
Mr. & Ms. Hatsby would certainly purchase again, at $7.
