  • Braeside vineyard Fleurieu Peninsula SA.
Salomon also owns a vineyard in Austria and trips back and forth.
Light pepper, slight oak, hint of yeast on the nose.
On the tongue, slight tannin, slightly astringent/acid, medium fruit .
Suggests it will last another 10 years ,but.
The cork, I hate corks, and this showed me why.
At this point there is a 20% show on the length of the cork and that 10 years may well be a bridge too far.
i would suggest drinking in the next 5 years and just checking that show on the cork.
I certainly will , and shall post an update in a month to let you know if it is holding .

    revisited 13th August 2018

Cork about 20% show not bad considering
I smelt a meaty smell on the nose that did not register previously
Grip at the front slightly acidic
    Tannins soft
    Colour dark/medium bodied
Drinking very well I give it another point to 94
