  • I keep buying the R-M Pinots and realized I'd never tried one. Talk about blind faith, though give TRB's reputation it's not much of a risk. So since I have many I was hopeful this would validate my previous purchases and it certainly did that!
Drank on PnP. Beautiful floral aromas greet the nose. It is bright, viscous, just the right kind of silky/syrupy...it has an almost weightless feel to it literally gliding across the palate, but it still feels substantial. Lots of dark fruit with some spice and blood orange essence.
Just an absolute pleasure to drink. It will hold for years yet, but if I had more, I'd drink them now to capture the energy and brightness it currently exhibits.
Used traditional Pinot bowl (as opposed to the New World Pinot glass)

  • Drinking well at present. Terrific nose of red fruits, a mix of orange marmalade, cranberry and plums on the palate that lingers through the finish. Hints of spice. Nice acidity but still smooth, medium body. A very distinct pinot that speaks to the vineyard. Showed better last night than previous bottles. Purchased from the winery upon release

  • Popped and poured. Massive Pinot. Intense dark fruit, blood orange and spice. RM says this its ripest site, and I believe them, but there’s dancing acidity here that balances it. I’d give this another year or two but it’s already fantastic. 93+

  • No need to rush this, the acidity says it has plenty of years ahead. A little tightly wound upfront, but some forced aeration loosened it up quickly. Raspberry, cherry cola, orange peel, black tea and a little spice. Unfortunately, this is now selling on the secondary for around $70. 93+
