Opened 2 bottles with consistent results, PnP. Nice merlot for my palate, although there will be some haters out there because its related to Caymus and/or too big. Definitely showed cherry blossom and cocoa on the nose with some cedar and tar notes. On the palate, the wine showed lots of chocolate covered cherry, with some tobacco and toasted oak. Everyone loved this wine, i.e., a crowd pleasing wine, and also an excellent QPR! Easy 92 for me! Not sure how much it will improve, but no hurry

This was one of the better Merlots I've had in recent years. This is medium to full-bodied with aromas of black plum, blueberry and a touch of vanilla spice. The tannins were medium and smooth with flavors of blackberry, chocolate with some toast leading to a lengthy finish. This is bolder than most Merlots. No surprise this wine comes from the same family that makes Caymus.

Very nice, smooth Merlot that shows plenty of fruit and smooth, rounded tannins. Decanted for 1 hour in cellar. Nose showed plenty of cherry and cedar notes as well as some lilac and violet notes. Palate showed plenty of dark chocolate covered cherry, some tar and tobacco notes too, with hints of sweet toasted oak.. A very nice and friendly Merlot that would definitely be a crowd pleaser for those who drink and those who don't drink too often. Easy 92, and very solid Merlot!

Juicy black & blue fruit dominates, soft tannins, lengthy finish. Very enjoyable wine, but would like a bit more backbone/structure.

Big, bold fruit bomb that could use a little more structure & balance. Still an enjoyable wine.
