In a suave and balanced style. Classy and nuanced. Nectarine, white peach, dried tropical fruits, honey, honeysuckle, and white flowers. Excellent with the Stilton! 90-91.

WSET Level 3; 11/3/2019-2/3/2020 (San Diego, CA): Second time having this. Good wine, loads of apricot, vanilla, iodine in the nose and palate, with additional distinct orange marmalade, honey, citrus and lavender on the palate. Unfairly juxtaposed against a 5 putt Tokaji during class.

WSET Level 2; 8/20/2019-10/15/2019 (Leoness Cellars, Temecula, CA): Pale gold; Rich honeyed nose, orange marmalade with saffron like spice hints. Intensely concentrated, syrupy pineapple and tropical fruit, clove, almond and spice on the palate. A medium plus acidity keeps the wine feeling too sweet or flabby. A solid, young sauternes that should develop into a better wine as it matures and tertiary aspects take hold.
