Impeccable cork condition. Deep garnet hue. Pronounced nose of sumptuous dark red fruits and savoury elements of cocoa and balsamic. Medium plus body, well-balanced and good concentration. I marvel how a sub-CAD40 bottle from 2014 out shines many of the Bordeaux rouge with the same bottle age but are awkwardly 2-3 times the price. Well made wine. Great job, Webers!

Did a sideXside w 2014 Il Seggio Supertuscan. This was a bit muted upon opening but with 20-25 mins came alive. Great aromatics of maturing dark red fruits, dried sage and cocoa. Great depth on the palate. Medium plus finish. Well integrated tannins and acid.

2 hour decant. Excellent balance. Nicely into tertiary, but still some life left in it. Not the most remarkable on the palate. I would describe as simple, but well made and has aged nicely. 2-3 years of life left. But it's entering into the crescendo of its life now.

Drinking well now. Stewed fruit notes with some vanilla. Nicely balanced with integrated tannins.
