My first experience with this wine and it was a good one. A blend of 92 percent Godello and 8 percent Treixadura, sourced from several parcels (sandy and granite soils) in the village of O Bolo (located about sixty kilometers east of the city of Ourense / Galicia). The wine was fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for four months on its fine lees. Surprisingly youthful lemon yellow in color and a fruit forward nose of peach, nectarine, melon and some hints of dried herbs and orange zest. The harmonious palate is marked by lush citrus and stone fruit, quite a creamy texture and a refreshing acid structure. Persistent finish. This wine is at its peak now; drink it over the next year or two.

This was my last of 3 bottles and I enjoyed it less than the previous times. However, I do still recall from the previous bottles, that I had summed it up as a crossroads of Burgundian winemaking with Alsatian depth and Santorinian minerality. Great value for money too and a perfect match for my rabbit with riesling & herbs (lemon verbena, sage, lavender) from the garden.
