Popped and poured. Black cherry, olives, leather and herbs come through. Full bodied, oak influence but reasonably well integrated, fleshy, with a long finish. This has developed nicely and drinks well in a kind of new world style today.

Decanted 30 minutes before serving. Deep ruby color. Medium-plus body, medium-to-medium plus acid, powdery tannins. Strong strawberry and other syrupy fruits on the nose. More dried red fruit on the palate, especially some dried cherry, with some wonderful tea notes mid-palate to provide balance. Acid level here really ties everything together. This is aging wonderfully.

New World wine characteristics meet Rioja. A blend of both. It has New World fruit forwardness finishing with some acidity, tannin and dustiness that this region is famous for, but a lot less so than Heredia and others. Enjoyable, balanced.

Great bottle. Decanted from the cellar. Big red fruit lots of heft and tannin. An hour later it was raspberries and slightly mellowed out. 4 hours later with dinner. Oof. Amazing and radiating out of the glass. It was ON. Perfect balance of fruit, tannin and those secondary notes. Fully balanced and in a great “drinking window” as everyone has been posting.
Generally, killer for the price and killer with a good piece of meat or even some fatty fish. I’d say it’s got 10 years max of really enjoyable drinking with the first 5 with some potential upside and then the beginning of the decline. If cellared well from the beginning, then upside to the full 10.

Good pull, good cork, not soft. About 1/4" wet but intact. Good fruit. Spouse says can taste the alcohol. Fruit present but evolved. Nice wine. Fruit and secondary flavors in nice balance. Taking small sips to savor this nicely evolved wine. Had next day and was about the same. Don't see this improving. Should hold for up to 5 more years. Nice ruby color and some bricking but not oxidized and tired. Try this now. Have one remaining, CT states to 2032, I'll have it before then.
