  • This will be great but in my opinion, it's not ready yet. Decanted for an hour...maybe we needed to decant it longer.

Started very tight on both the nose and palate. An hour in, the nose opened up; but the palate never really did. Aromas of ripe red cherries, ripe strawberries, ripe blueberries chocolate, ash, graphite, clove, garrigue and allspice came out after the decant. A nice medium + intensity of aromas. The palate sarted consistent with the nose but ended abruptly. It completely "irish goodbyes" the drinker.

I don't think any of this is the wine's fault. This is still developing and I do believe the palate will catch up to the nose in about 3-5 years. Medium + body with medium + acid and low tannins. But feels balanced, despite the short finish at this juncture. Drink after 2026.

  • 90 min decant. Red and black fruits. Bright, clean and transparent with balancing freshness. Really hit the spot for me. Like a natural wine with none of the funk and lots of finesse.

  • Reviewed 1/28/2022. Still tastes fantastic. Nothing new to add except that the wine tastes 'clean.' That's not a common descriptor for wine. Clean and 'natural.' Not heavy. Not light. Not syrupy. Not astringent. Wine that tastes like nature's gift. Thanks MTP!

  • I'm not the biggest Evangelho fan but this bottle was great and might even make me change my tune! Beautiful red fruits, some spice, and a little savory note that kicked it up a notch. Easily the best Evangelho that I've had. Good stuff and drinking really well right now.
