This has come a long way in a little over a year. It has evolved and added additional depth and flavor. More spice and earthiness and a unique figgy orange component. Long finish, good acidity making it a great food wine. Drink now or continue to hold.

Light ruby color. Aromas of braised fig & orange zest, dried florals, nutmeg & allspice berry, and autumn foliage - evocative of Santa Maria Valley Pinot, yet nicely distinctive. Richly layered fruit on the palate, figs and black cherry, over a dense core of spices, black tea and red floral notes. Seems to gain finesse with air. Fleshy middle density, with acid that nicely lifts its density, and medium rounded tannins, finishing with a depth that highlights the spice notes throughout.

This is drinking wonderfully. Explosive floral aroma - more lavender than rose - with bright strawberry and some oaky spice lingering in the background. Palate is high-toned strawberry/raspberry with silky tannins. Good length on the finish. Excellent.

Delicious. Lovely floral nose. Excellent layers of dark fruits, some chocolate, vanilla and earthy flavors as well. Nicely balanced and a long finish. Smooth as silk. Drink or continue to hold.
