Similar to previous tasting notes - loads of cement and minty herb, and some black fruit, but the fruit is beginning to decline in a bad way, in my opinion. There's a lot of harsh green stemmy notes coming through now, that the youthful fruit masked. Unless this is an off bottle, or the wine is in a weird phase (possible), I'd say drink this up sooner rather than later before more of that lovely fruit is lost.

Received as a gift. 14.0% abv. Served with Pizza. Lovely deep purplish-red in the glass. Long legs on the swirl. Red raspberry and red fruit on the nose, carrying over to the palate with plum and cassis. Full-bodied with a smooth, round feel in the mouth. Subtle tannins with a bit of a 'grip.' Nice acidity and a pleasant long finish. Spouse and Daughter endorsed. Clearly a legitimate 90 Pt contender. I'll buy more for myself. LIKE. ------------------------------------ In an informal taste comparison with a 2019 Kirkland (Mendoza) Malbec I had opened:
2015 Norton: Nice deep color, opaque, but not cloudy; looks hearty. Nose: Red berries, some cherry, red raspberry. Palate: a little more flavorful; raspberry, some tannin, soft but fuzzy. Good acidity, nice lingering finish. Good mouth feel. Overall, there is just more 'There' there. (90 Pts)
2019 Kirkland Malbec: Same coloring; Nose: less fragrant, blackberry, just a hint of petrol. Palate: a little lighter bodied than the Norton; blackberry good tannins, again a hint of petrol. Not as full a mouth feel, smooth but less rounded, nor as pleasant a finish. (87 Pts)
I previously did a similar comparison of the 2019 Kirkland with a 2018 Catena Zapata Malbec I liked that seemed to have a much more full and round feel in the mouth with a more lingering finish. (92 pts) My hierarchy would be: Catena (92 pts); Norton (90 pts); and Kirkland (87 pts.)

Fruity and pleasant, with some tannins. May continue to improve with age. A good buy.
