I was inspired to open this based upon AGELVIS' tasting note on a Bevan Wildfoote Cab - this was the closest I could get to playing in the same sandbox (six degrees of R Bevan...). This was an auction buy from a few years ago.
Two hour decant, which it needs as a minimum, and it was ready to go. Terrific aromas of black fruits, black cherries and violets followed on the palate with sugared plums, black cherry, cassis, mocha, anise, coffee and tobacco leaf. This is a dark, dense, rich wine with great balance and harmony, meaning that it is powerful without being heavy, full fruited without being sweet. Terrific Oakville fruit and terroir.
My wife was doing backflips throughout dinner with this one. 96 points, which is a score that I typically reserve for a wine that I would prefer to share only with her (an my CT friends...). The bottle went quickly
This is likely drinking at its peak. I enjoyed this more than the '19 I had back in Napa in May poured at Elyse, simply because the younger wine and bit too much (especially after a long day of wine drinking).
Thanks to everyone at Cellar Tracker who turned me on to this label
This may be a little out of my palate wheelhouse but I really think this needs a few more years. I will try the next one in 2027 ish. Based on other tasting notes I think my score should be ignored. I decanted for 5 hours and it was just a bit too acidic for me on both day 1 and day 2.

Made a good decision to open this beauty. 4 he decant. Blackish purple, opaque. Highly aromatic notes including ripe berries, caramel, ferric type minerals nuances, and sweet herbs. The palate is so super smooth adding dense notes of dark fruits, dark chocolate, blackberry liqueur, savory spices, tasty Oakville soil and delicious core of minerality. Solid acidity framework, grainy tannins leading to a long finish. Cheers All!
Powerful aromas of violets, blackberry , black cherry, and crushed rocks. On the palate, sweet plum, black cherry and licorice with some mocha. Grippy tannins lead to a lengthy 20-second finish.

Jen-a-palooza with Paul, Mark and Carol; 10/22/2021-10/24/2021 (Atlanta): I can’t believe I am scoring everything the same as Mark, but this was indeed the WOTN (the first night!!). Opened 4ish hours before drinking and really was he perfect Bevan wine. Big full glycerin mouthfeel, silky tannins, juicy acid and ripe ripe fruit. One of the better ‘15’s I have had.
