  Excellent with smoked chicken and smoked tri-tip. Floral, with a mix of blue and black fruits, smooth tannins, medium+ body with a long finish. Drinking very well right now.

  This may be the best RdV wine ever produced. The quality and taste speak to my palette and while I am sure others including RdV will disagree, I love it.

  Had once again at RdV, this time at the fall release party for Lost Mountain. This wine is amazing and a bargain from RdV. Enjoyed it with beef, rice and spicy kimchi. Wow this wine held up well. Good body, just an enjoyable wine to drink with food. 91-93

  Had a bottle at RdV with some friends. This wine was released in 2017 and is 100% Petit Verdot. I was amazed at how good this wine is. Deep purple, smokey, blackberry, on the nose, bold and balanced. Medium to medium-long finish, silky smooth. This wine was great on its own, but would be great with food, bbq, meats, etc.
  
  The Outlier label will be used for a special winemaker project each year and this fall it sounds like it will be Cab Franc.
