Bien.

Carricante grown at 600 to 650 meters above sea level, fermented and aged in 10-hectolitre barrels. 13% vol.
The nose was very muted at opening so I decided to decant an hour before dinner that helped a lot. On the nose citrus flavours with a mixture of mineral notes and a touch of honey, on the palate dense, dry and fresh with a long, slightly bitter finish that asks for food.
Not easy to judge this wine, the nose improved a lot with air but on the palate the bitterness got stronger with air and time. It gives the impression of a great white that is somehow in a difficult in between phase, I will wait an additional 2 years for my next bottle before rating it again.

This bottle was not as expressive as previous ones I've opened. Light citrus fruit and some pungency, bright and gripping on the palate with some floral flavor. It's possible this was very faintly corked and muted, so take this note with a grain of salt.

Bouquet with tropical fruit, grape and herbs. Lots of things going on the nicely fruity, aromatic and complex palate, citrus, dried peach, mango, roasted nuts, minerality and granite, sour notes and salinity. Good acidity to match the fruit component. Dry, topical and a bit sour aftertaste. The overall taste profile is attractively clear cut and linear. This is very good now but will continue to develop and get even better. This feels like the missing link between Tondonia's whites and white Musar, hard to imagine a better place for a white wine to be unless one is prepared to invest substantial amounts of money. To me the 2015 was good but the 2016 clearly supersedes it, the same goes for the nice 2017.
