Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 90.2 points

  • Significantly more mineral/fresh style compared to the '18 rendition of this bottling, though needing quite a bit more airtime. You have to wonder if this was bottled with extra gas/S02? as there is a strong sulfur note that dissipates after 30 minutes. Yellow citrus fruits and some pale-yellow apple fruits, vague florality and some leesy interest throughout. A nice dusting of brown spices come through as it warms up, too. Good body vs. the freshness and acidity. This is holding quite well and would benefit from some bottle age. 91+

  • a fresh, high register fruit nose of salted citrus/lemon fruits with a bit of tart peach; good acidity and mineral presence in this wine and while very classic/typical of the region, there is a lack of clarity/focus in the aromatic material to take one to that next level. Very "correct" with good energy and lift to the flavors with good oak integration. This is showing no signs of advancement but a bit shy/lacking excitement. 87-88.
