Quite closed at first; begins to open after a couple of hours in the decanter with tannins softening, some Mourvèdre dark fruit perfume and flavors coming forth. But the wine really needs another ten years or so. Good upside potential. Cellared since original release.

I know, this is far too young, but we just couldn't resist. Young, deep ruby colour. Muted nose dominated by some blueberries and lots of tar and dry asphalt. Almost dusty. Medium bodied, very high acidity, bitingly dry tannins, and that wonderful black forest berries emerging in the fresh finish. As all young Pradeauxes this is difficult to enjoy young. Still, the potential is great, as thefruit and the structure is in perfect balance. Try next bottle in ten years time, aand you will probably encounter a fresh, mature Bordeaux-like wine. Perfect with lamb.

Lukt: instinktivt bær(jordbær/solbær), paprika, mineraler/jordlig preg(mørk kjeller).
Smak: innslag syrlig fruktig. Tanninner sitter på tunga. Sitter lenge, saftig, men samtidig tørr.

Tons of structured fruit. And big tannins. And they don't destem, and that shows.

Quick trade tasting note - VA, parsley, dank cellar, still decent acids but spiky alc.
