Taken to the Brownes and consumed 2-3 hours after decanting. Initially showing its youth but progressing towards a more savoury style with air, prompting a comparison to CdP. These promise excellent drinking over the next 5 years.

Purple/red colouring gives away its youthfulness. Good legs promise some length. Massive, vibrant nose of black fruits and pepper. Gorgeous mouthful of black and red fruits. Great gobs of fruit just coating youthful tannins. There is loads going on here and whilst it's not really the right time to drink it, it's a fairly hedonistic experience rather than a purely academic exercise. Nice finish and length. I think all the components are there for the wine to stay in balance as it ages but it'll be interesting to see what happens with an opened bottle over 3 days. At this first taste I'd be tempted to wait 2 to 3 years before broaching another.
