Nothing off-putting; this is a solid red that’s easy to drink (beginner’s and old timers), and had enough body to hold interest. Fine balance, mouth feel, and moderate to lean tannins.

I opened my second bottle in late January 2020. No significant difference in my opinion from previous.
November 2017 I am so glad I have another bottle of this very young wine! I anticipate upgrading my 3.5 within a year. My notes are sparse, as they've been for a few this fall. As proof of that, I have no notes on the aroma. On two evenings, I sipped this with turkey and lamb (separate evenings). For such a youngster, it was smoother than I'd anticipated. Smooth but picy, with moderate tannin, with the turkey. Even smoother, much lighter tannin, with the lamb (I call them 'lamb steaks' - shoulder chops, perhaps? with a fabulous Greek spice from an area restaurant). Thank you, Sharon, for making this very tasty wine for us. Yet another bottle is in my cart :-)

Nicely smoky berry fruit, with great acidity, and Christmas spice on the finish. No idea what the varietals are in this blend, but I wouldn't be surprised if Cab Franc and Petite Sirah are among them.

So so taste. Up front fruit. Tannis later. I like bolder taste.
