Sanchez Romate Amontillado Olidado 1/5. A deep, bright copper-orange colour with an evocative focus of dried fruits, sea salt, toast and sourdough towards salted nuts and that gentle aldehydic lift. The palate exhibits intense fermented bread dough sprinkled lavishly with roasted nuts adorned with sea salt. A subtle and effective creamy underlay that gives the wine a pillow-like softness supporting all the activity on the top palate, the wine lingers and closes with toasted almonds, oak spices and just a touch of orange. With concentration, depth and penetration, this is a classy wine.

Lovely warm amber colour. Volatile and nutty on the nose. Tangy, salty and nutty on the palate - really well balanced. Dry and vibrant. Such a delicious, long finish.

“The forgotten Amontillado” - around 25 year-old Amontillados with no further additions except a little alcohol.
Nose: Tobacco, spices, wood, roasted nuts, oak, salt and oxidation.
Palate: Very complex - salt, flor - maybe a little high on the alcohol. It has a small whisky-note - but not that high alcohol, naturally. Very rich.
