Pale gold. Aromas on the nose are of medium intensity with blossom, almond, honey, citrus peel, golden apple, cardamom, fresh dill, mushroom. On the palate the wine is off dry with high acidity, medium alcohol and medium body. The flavor intensity is medium plus with blossom, almond, honey, citrus peel, golden apple, cardamom, fresh dill, mushroom. The finish is medium. This is an interesting wine, very good in quality demonstrating balance of the acidity and fruit nature, intensity on the nose and palate and complexity.

I found this to be a very strange wine. Its color was very pale. There was a marked floral bouquet. The flavor when I first opened it was very flat, dry, acidic with no complexity. After the bottle had been left under vacuum overnight it tasted more like a typical Alsatian Riesling. The label says that this wine is a blend of 13 different Alsatian Grape Varieties. I am not convinced that this adds compared to the Alsatian Riesling with which I am more familiar.

Fine Vines Fall 2019 Portfolio Tasting (City Winery - Chicago IL): Walk-around tasting, brief note. Slightly rich, slightly sweet, overall good balance. Good enough for near-term enjoyment.
