  Drank 13/3/2022. Big, dense, chewy. Opened up with breathing. Another Standish wine - big fruit, but not clumsy or jammy.

  Voluptuous purple colour, want to kiss it and absorb it. Great fruit and not at all overwhelming. Better in a few years but not as good as the 2017 which is off the charts.

  Some GC action. Intense opaque colour. Rich and luxurious blueberry and BlackBerry aromas; full-bodied, palate-saturating blueberry fruits, firm yet filigreed tannins pucker, subtle acid spine woven in, huge length. Great Barossa shiraz again by Standish; the Lamella probably a touch better than this for precision/focus.

  Outstanding Aussie Shiraz - Colour of a dark night with an extraordinary ring of beetroot - nose of dark fruit, blueberry, liquorice, with lavender and spice - full bodied but with amazing silky texture, hiding the complexity of fruit. Utterly profound and so incredible for such a young wine that should last for years - can I leave it 20 years to develop further ?
